My iTunes purchased ringtones are gone...

Hello, how are you?

I cannot use my purchased ringtones any longer because a very weird bug, or whatever, appeared.

When I touch on 'Download Purchased Ringtones' (or something like that), the button disappears…not kidding. And I had such a horror collection. I plugged my phone into iTunes and there was not a single ringtone there. Where on h e l l

are my ringtones? What kind of bug is this?

Is this some kind of iOS 16 treachery, like many others?

Apparently. Alternatively, you can find the same ringtones on e.g. Zedge and turn them into ringtones in the Garageband app, so you avoid buying them again.

You download the ringtones to your iPhone and save them in the Files app, then follow the guide below so you can install them as ringtones in iOS.

Try restarting your iPhone. Turn it off and leave it off for a few minutes. Turn on and go back and try the "Download Purchased Ringtones" button again.

If your previous ringtones don't come back, it's unfortunately because they are no longer available in the ringtone section.

Apple writes in their Support Article:

"You might not be able to redownload some previously purchased tones"
