What is the process of moving to a new computer. Moving from an older IMac to a new Mac mini..

Don't migrate any applications from the old iMac to the new Mac mini, especially if the old iMac is running an operating system earlier than Catalina (10.15.7). The latter operating system and newer do not support 32-bit applications, something that you can determine by running the free Go64 application on the old iMac.
You should also check if your vendor printer/scanner drivers are supported on macOS Ventura (13.*) that ships with your M2 Mac mini. If not, check to see if your networked device is supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint which does not require vendor driver support.
