Can a macbook pro and a an imac share all data easily?

I have a desktop imac and a macbook pro. I want to keep my imac at my office and take my macbook with me on the road. Is there a way that any work done on my macbook or imac will automatically be shared with both devices. So that all work done on either device will be on both devices easily?

You can automatically sync data such as Notes, Reminders, Contacts, Photos etc via iCloud and you can also sync data files using iCloud Drive. See information in: Set up iCloud on your Mac - Apple Support

and Store files in iCloud Drive on Mac - Apple Support

and Access and manage your files in iCloud Drive - Apple Support
