Hi MEGA49R,

Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities.

Please start with these instructions If iCloud Mail isn't working. If you are setting up a new Apple ID or iCloud account, be sure to follow these instructions: How to create a new Apple ID. If available, you can set up the account with a second device before signing in on your iPhone.

Please reply back if you need more help with this.

Have a great day!

Hey MEGA49R,

Sometimes when you get a message to “try again later”, it can mean you’re having problems connecting to the Apple ID/iCloud ID server. These steps can help: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services - Apple Support

Add and manage email aliases for iCloud Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support -- If you’re trying to add or manage an email alias for iCloud Mail, please contact Apple Support to look into this further with you: Get Support

All the best.
