The non-technical answer.......it's way too old. A bit more technical answer would be that the iPhone lacks the hardware capability to meet the requirements of newer iOS versions like iOS 15 and iOS 16.


Best that the iPhone 6 Plus can do is iOS 12.5.7.


If you want to run iOS 16, you will need an iPhone 8 or higher.


If you want to use the newer faster 5G service, you will need an iPhone 12 or higher....and....your carrier must be providing 5G.
