Voice control enables dictation on Notes

Steps to reproduce

  1. Activate Voice Control
  2. Open Notes
  3. New Note
  4. Say something without activating Dictation.

You will see that in Notes it starts to appear the text that you've said.

Is this "normal behavior" or is there a way to inactivate this "feature" / bug ?

Again, I didn't use Dictation for it, only Voice Control set to on.

If I switch it to off, then I can normally type in Notes.

This happens also on older models, starting with iOS 15.6

Yes, voice control can enable dictation on Notes. On devices that support voice control, such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs, you can use voice commands to dictate text directly into the Notes app.

I'm not saying it is not enabling it, I'm saying that if I disable it, it is still running !

Imagine you are in a meeting and you want to take some notes, you can not speak while somebody else is talking.

Deactivating Dictation Mode and Command Mode from Voice Control didn't had any impact.

Deactivating Voice Control is possible only from Settings -> Accessibility, so, doing this on and off, might be upsetting some time.
