Folder structure on MacBook like on Windows device

Applications are stored in the /Applications folder. Each Application is a package file.

Hold the Option key while you click on an icon of an Application, and choose "Show Package Contents" form the pop-up menu, and a 'Contents' folder will be shown. Open the contents folder and the moving parts of the Application will be shown.

Here is an example from textedit:

localization files are designated using standard language abbreviations and end in .lproj, so the example above show several localizations already in place.

The difficulty is that the system Folder is checksummed and locked, absolutely not writeable, and you cannot change it without crashing your Mac.
