iPhone 8
You could not have bought a brand new iPhone 8; the last iPhone 8 was sold 3 years ago. You either bought a used iPhone 8 that was reboxed, or it has been sitting on a shelf somewhere for 3 years or more (the first iPhone 8 was sold 6 years ago). You can check when it was first sold by entering the serial number here→Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage.
Knowing that you have a used phone, here is guidance for that error→If you see error 9, 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
