error 4010

What does this error code mean? (I don't see it on the Help Menu on the Apple website)

You may be using an older version of iTunes. Download the latest version of iTunes and give that a try.


Download and use iTunes for Windows 10AppleOfficial Apple Support › en-us


If no help, turn off the anti-virus on the PC.


If still no luck, the support document says........


If you continue to see error 9, 4005, 4013, or 4014 when you try to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, contact us.

It would be better if you can please re-post with a screenshot, in order to understand the phenomenon better. Images/pictures speak louder than words. 


Please understand this is a public forum: While attaching a Screenshot, do not provide any personal credentials, such as IP address, Card detail, email id, apple id, IMEI number, Serial Number, Phone number, Order ID, if you are sharing a map ensure your location is not identifiable, etc.



With the limited information that you have provided, It is hard to even guess the problems faced by you.
