Screen Time pass code is set, but Screen Time only requesting it for Schedule

I have set a pass code for Screen Time, but on the child's device, they can simply go to Settings-Screen Time and turn off Screen Time altogether. The device does ask for a passcode to change the schedule, but not to enter Screen Time itself. I have tried setting up Screen Time from scratch and I have specified that "this is my child's device". During the setup process I don't see any options for when the pass code should be requested. What am I missing? :-)

Hi Maeonides,

We'll be happy to help. If they're able to access this, then you would need to specifically set a Screen Time passcode. This can be done following steps in Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

"If you're using Family Sharing to manage a child account

  1. Go to Settings and tap Screen Time.
  2. Scroll down and choose your child's name under Family.
  3. Tap Turn on Screen Time, then tap Continue.
  4. Set up DowntimeApp Limits, and Content & Privacy with the limitations that you want for your child, or tap Not Now.
  5. Tap Use Screen Time Passcode, then enter a passcode when prompted. Re-enter the passcode to confirm.
  6. Enter your Apple ID and password. This can be used to reset your Screen Time passcode if you forget it."

We hope this helps you out.

Cheers.
