Automation for auto-lock

I often use the stopwatch in Clock. When I’m using Clock, I want to disable auto-lock and re-enable it when I close Clock. Any suggestions?

You can easily create an Automation that opens the Auto Lock menu when you open the Clock app. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use the Clock app with this shortcut, as every time you open the Clock app you will be redirected to the Auto Lock menu. Just tested it.

The solution could be to create a shortcut to the Auto Lock app directly on your Home Screen.

You can create a Shortcut like this:

1. Open the Shortcuts App and tap "+" to create a new one.

2. Search for URL and select.

3. Paste this path: prefs:root=DISPLAY&path=AUTOLOCK

4. Select and add Open URLs

5. At the top, give your shortcut a name and an icon and select Add to Home Screen

Your shortcut to Auto Lock will now be located directly on your Home Screen, so you can quickly access it.

Alternatively, you can also use the shortcut together with Back Tap. For example, tap twice on the back of your iPhone and the Auto Lock menu opens.

You can set your Auto Lock shortcut to Back Tap here:

SettingsAccessibilityTouchBack Tap → choose whether you wanted to tap 2 or 3 times and select the shortcut inside the selected one.
