Random Silent Alarm

My alarm went off normally, yesterday. Today I picked it up to check the time and the alarm had been going off for 10 minutes. This started happening when I got my new Apple Watch. I don’t charge the watch in the same room I sleep in, and don’t know if the alarm is going off on the watch.

I have checked all the settings Gus explained. Am I supposed to disconnect Bluetooth before bed each night? How can I fix this? I don’t want to go back to separate alarm clock.

Hello HairbyHeatherFL,

Based on your post, it sounds like your alarms are alerting you on your Apple Watch but not your iPhone. Add an alarm on Apple Watch provides the appropriate steps to create an alarm so that it alerts you on both your iPhone and Apple Watch.

"See the same alarms on both iPhone and Apple Watch

  1. Set the alarm on your iPhone.
  2. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  3. Tap My Watch, tap Clock, then turn on Push Alerts from iPhone."

We hope this helps.

Regards.

Hi HairbyHeatherFL,

Let's continue with making sure both your iPhone and Apple Watch have the latest software versions installed. Start with your iPhone and make sure to create a backup prior to updating. Here's how:

  1. "Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install. The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."

This information is from Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.

Then update your Apple Watch: Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Updating both devices will install bug fixes and can potentially resolve the issues you're experiencing.

Take care.
