password protected spreadsheet

My password protected numbers spreadsheet has recently started opening without the need for a password. I was able to reset the password and it worked for awhile and now it is back to opening without the password. It is stored on the cloud if that makes a difference. I happens on a new mac mini running Ventura 13.3 and numbers 13.0. I am wearing my Apple watch which unlocks my computer automatically if that makes a difference.

Any ideas why this spreadsheet is no longer secure?

You might want to have a look at the settings in these two places.

File > Set Password and deselect 'Use Touch ID".

Numbers > Settings and deselect 'Use Touch ID'.

Update. The spreadsheet password works correctly on my iMac and MacBook just not on the Mac Mini. Touch ID was turned on on the MacBook but was not turned on the Mini or iMac. Touch Id was working correctly on the Macbook but I turned it off as suggested above. No change, the spreadsheet opens automatically when it opens on the Mini but requires the password when opening on the other two machines. The spreadsheet is stored in iCloud.
