Make Excel default option on Mac Book air M2 chip
Does anybody have a recent instruction on how to make this work?

Open a Finder window and select (highlight) a file of the type that you want Excel to be the default for (e.g., xls, civ, etc) and then click File menu > Get Info (or command I key combination) and in the "Open With" section of the Info window select Excel and then click the "Change All" button.
