Remove "Get Ready For your New iPhone" message... after everything else failed

I bought my dad an iPhone for Christmas and, to this day (even if device is not listed on my devices) it shows "Get Ready For your New iPhone" under Settings. The phone was purchased on my Apple Card.. and.. I think that was the only thing tying to my account... it does not appear in any device list...

Not "Find my"... not in "Apple ID > Devices"... nothing...

I honestly lost hope that I could get rid of this message... but... does anyone have a different experience? Or know of a workaround?

Hello bobbyn,

We would like to see how we can help you with this notification? Which iOS version are you currently running? Go to Settings > General > About for the version. Do you regularly back up to iCloud? Have you tapped the notification and followed any of the steps? Check out this link for more information abour backing up to iCloud: How to back up your iPhone or iPad with iCloud - Apple Support

"How to back up your iPhone or iPad with iCloud

If you back up your iPhone or iPad, you'll have a copy of your information to use in case your device is ever replaced, lost, or damaged.

  1. Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.
  2. Go to Settings > [your name], and tap iCloud.
  3. iPhone showing the screen at Settings [your name]. iCloud is selected.
  4. Tap iCloud Backup.
  5. Tap Back Up Now. Stay connected to your Wi-Fi network until the process ends. Under Back Up Now, you'll see the date and time of your last backup. If you get an alert that you don't have enough iCloud storage space to complete the backup, follow the onscreen steps to upgrade your iCloud storage."

Get back to us with these details so that we have a better understanding of the issue, and we can go from there.

Cheers!
