Files in Google Drive folder not opening properly
Hello
As a Mac user on Ventura 13.3.1, I am experiencing an issue where files located in my Google Drive folder are not opening properly. The files are still found though in both Finder and Spotlight.
Whenever I try to open any file type from Spotlight or Finder, only the associated application launches but not the file itself. For example, when I try to open a .docx, .pdf, or .jpg file, the respective application launches but the actual file does not open.
I am connected to Wi-Fi and there are no error messages displayed. The application simply launches without opening the file.
This issue is limited to files in my Google Drive folder and I have not encountered it before. I am currently using the "Mirror Files" option in Google Drive.
As a workaround, I have to launch the application and then manually navigate to File - Open to open the desired file, which is quite inconvenient. This process adds extra steps and slows down my workflow significantly, especially when I need to open multiple files.
I have tried restarting my Mac and the Google Drive application. I have also contacted Google Drive help, and gone through some troubleshooting, but the problem persists.
I would greatly appreciate any further suggestions to resolve this issue.
