"Send as SMS"

Just recently I stopped getting messages from droid users as well as some group texts (probably a droid user in the group). When I checked settings the "Send as SMS" option was not there. Someone suggested that it could be a carrier issue, but we have multiple other lines (all iPhones) on the same plan and none of them are experiencing this problem. Any thoughts?
