Password for Apple ID

Why isn't App Store accepting the password I use to gain access into this forum?

iMac 24″, macOS 13.3

Are you using a different Apple ID for App Store purchases? In the support article: If you subscribe to Apple One and use a different Apple ID for iCloud - Apple Support Apple makes sideways reference to using a different Apple ID for media subscriptions and purchases but doesn't describe how to do this.

In iOS/iPadOS: Go to Settings > [your Apple ID] > Media & Purchases. Sign out of your current ID and sign in with a different one.

No, but I resolved the issue. I don't know how either. It has taken days. On one hand, I changed my password on my iPhone. Then keychain asked permission to sync that password across all of my devices including iMac and iPad. I gave it permission, and everything seemed nailed down. On the other hand, appleid.apple.com and the App Store didn't get the updated password. As a result, I changed the password on appleid.apple.com, and had to manually copy that password. Then type it into my iMac's system settings password thing, and then keychain synced the rest of the devices.

More, there were some totally nonsensical prompts and steps that occurred that were omitted from this list. I suppose if anyone is going to change their appleID password, start on appleid.apple.com first, and then maybe the user's devices will sync it? The process was a real p.i.t.a.
