Use a different apple id on my ipad mini gen 1

My ipad mini gen 1 is under activation lock. I dont care about data loss. I just want to sign in using a different apple id, i dont have access to the one on my ipad. How do i do this?

I have an activation lock on my first I pad. I have three others but I would like to get into this one due to videos and pictures. My problem is that it wants me to use my old Apple ID that I started it with. I am trying to get into my first I pad but it is on an activation lock. I know I can reset it but I’m trying not to lose the photos from when my kids were young if I can. The problem is it will not let me use my current Apple ID it wants the one I used when I first got it. This has been at least 12 years or more ago.

Click here and submit an unlock request. If you don't qualify, you can't; the activation lock is an anti-theft measure.
