iPad apps

When I hold down an app to make the Home Screen jiggle why do I not get the option to remove the app, it only has the option to delete the app completely on my iPad when I want to remove it not delete it

Perhaps you are trying to “offload” the App - and not delete the App? Offloading removes just the App, but preserves the associated App data.


To offload an App, you’ll need to offload from iPad settings:

Settings > General > iPad Storage


Scroll down the list of installed Apps until you find the App that you wish to offload - then tap the associated entry. From the App properties page, select Offload App.
