WiFi Issues with iOS16.4.1 ?
Anyone experiences (like me) WiFi issues with iOS 16.4.1 which was supposed to fix the WiFi problems... dog running after it's tail... Any fix yet ?

Since updating all our iPhones to 16.4.1 they are all having problems with Wi-Fi connection, constantly dropping wifi. Also, my old SE which has not updated the iOS no longer syncs photos with iCloud, or should I say, the other phones no longer see those photos. Apple has broken something and it needs to be fixed.
I noticed 2 of my iPhone have this same issue. Although I can connect to the WiFi, the symbol that usually shows up on the side of the signal does not appear. also shows there is no internet connection even if already obtained the ip address and dns of the host which is the wifi router.

Troubleshooting iPhone WiFi:
Try the Following in the Order Provided:
A. Restarting the iPhone:
If any changes were made (i.e. Installed Apps), then Settings (i.e Wf-Fi), may have become manipulated technically. So, try restarting the iPhone:
B. Disable Cellular:
Try disabling Cellular, and using Wi-Fi instead, seeing if that makes all the difference.
C. Try manually restarting your iPhone:
D. Reset All Network Settings to Default:
Example of items that will be reset: (Wi-Fi Passwords, VPN Connections, etc)
As a Last Resort:
E. Restore form a Backup:
Have a backup of your iPhone? If you are not concerned with losing data, then restore your iPhone from a backup that was made when Wi-Fi was working. Prior to restoring, backup your iPhone, incase anything goes wrong with the restoration.

Do your Part: These are user-to-user forums. Apple rarely reads these forums on their own time as it is. So, provide Apple with feedback on this. Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear of this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed.
To Provide Feedback:
Nothing in the Apple Release Notes that I have for iOS 16.4.1 mentions anything about Wi-Fi.
Can you please provide a link to the information that you have?
I remember reading something about 16.4.1 fixing some wifi issues, but sadly couldn't find it in the release notes. If I remember where I read it will post.

The problem is most likely in iOS 16 firmware, after that the main problems started with WIFI and devices such as iPhone 13, se, 14.
I also have a post about it
Problem with Wi-Fi after iOS 16 update - Apple Community
I have 12 Pro Max and all the other iPhones are older generations. They all worked fine till they updated the iOS. Is very frustrating!
Edited to add it’s not the iPhone, my MacBook won’t connect on Wi-Fi and that hasn’t updated the OS. What is going on?
More like a problem with the router according to the description
Yes you are right, just noticed the intermittent orange light in the router but have the same issue at home. Must be a larger issue with the networks rather than Apple. Coincidence perhaps?
I don’t know, it’s hard to say what the reason is, we need to find out
