The Apple Music Classical Library is not very complete at all ! Gems are missing !

For years I have been looking at Apple, Spotify and others for organ music by J.S.Bach ( toccata & fugue BWV 565, BWV 542, BWV 645 - 646 - 650 and BWV 543 ) played by Hedwig Bilgram, recorded by sound engineer Peter Willemoës on vinyl, for the record company Erato (distribution by RCA Paris) in the Dominikanerkerk Landshut. ( DATA : STU 70838 - stereo - Artistique - RC 350 ) late ‘70 - early ‘ 80 ties .

These interpretations make all others superfluous. They are head and shoulders above all the others! Unfortunately not available in a digital version 😬

Can someone clarify my quest ? Thx

Dirk,

As you may know, Erato was acquired by Warner Music, and then was shut down. You might be able to sleuth around to find out who (if anyone) owns the rights to those 70s-80s recordings and has the legal right to sell digital versions. The work you seek may be available on another platform, or it may not be available at all.

Hello Dirk,

It seems that you are searching for specific recordings of J.S. Bach's organ music performed by Hedwig Bilgram, recorded by sound engineer Peter Willemoës on vinyl, for the record company Erato (distribution by RCA Paris) in the Dominikanerkerk Landshut. The specific recordings you are looking for include the toccata & fugue BWV 565, BWV 542, BWV 645 - 646 - 650 and BWV 543, and were produced in the late '70s to early '80s.

You mentioned that these interpretations make all others superfluous and are head and shoulders above all the others, but unfortunately, they are not available in a digital version.

While it may be challenging to find these specific vinyl recordings, you could try searching for them on online marketplaces such as eBay or Amazon. Additionally, you could reach out to local record stores or music collectors in your area who may have a copy of the vinyl recordings you are looking for.

If you are unable to find the specific vinyl recordings, you could also explore alternative recordings of J.S. Bach's organ music by other artists. There are many renowned performers and recordings of Bach's organ music available in digital formats that may offer a similar quality of interpretation that you are looking for.

I hope this helps, and good luck with your search!

[Best Regards]
