Apple Watch Ultra Water damage

Hi I have an apple watch ultra. Apple said this is waterproof up to 100meters. I tried using it on snorkling after 10mins it did a lot of weird stuff like calling sos making the alarm etc. after that the watch shut off and not turning on. Tried charging it but still not working.

I am in the philippines and the replacement is quite hassle and unfair.

i paid a lot of money for a crappy and unreliable apple watch ultra. Apple customer service dont even provide good customer service in my country.

Nope. Apple never said it was Waterproof. Nowhere on Apple's website, or any Apple watch related info did it ever say it was waterproof. Apple states very clearly it is in fact not Waterproof, but water resistant.

Apple Watch Ultra has a water resistance rating of 100 meters under ISO standard 22810. It may be used for recreational scuba diving (with compatible third-party app from the App Store) to 40 meters and high-speed water sports. Apple Watch Ultra should not be used for diving below 40 meters. Water resistance is not a permanent condition and can diminish over time. For additional information see support.apple.com/HT205000.

Is my Apple Watch waterproof?

Your Apple Watch is water resistant, but not waterproof.

It may have experienced an issue during snorkeling yes. But your only course of action is to contact Apple Support directly. Only they can assess what happened and issue a replacement. Wether it's free to paid only the can determine.

If you're spending a lot of money, you should be performing your own due diligence, not relying on a vague understanding of the difference between "water-resistant" and "water-proof". Or some idea of who you think Apple is marketing the device to. Apple provides with all the information. If you chose not to read it, well, yes, it is your fault if you make an incorrect assumption.
