Microphone goes dead after 15.7.5, comes back after reset for a bit

How can I get my microphone back?

After upgrading to 15.7.5, my microphone goes dead After using the phone or any other application.

sometimes it lasts for a few hours and sometimes it will last for a day.

What brings it back is doing a reset all settings, however the symptom resurfaces later in the day or the next day.

I’m getting by using a Bluetooth microphone because I cannot keep resetting my phone, it’s quite the hassle and it’s a big time waster

Thanks, I suspected. These are signs of an  AudioIC hardware issue for iPhone 7 models. It may eventually become a consistent issue. You can:

  1. Do an out-of-warranty replacement of your iPhone.
  2. Trade in your iPhone towards a new one.
  3. Find a competent 3rd party repair site that can do the soldering repairs need, but no guarantees. Also, if you go this route Apple may refuse service on your iPhone in the future.

Hi, the model is iPhone 7 Plus Model Number MN5R2LL/A

Again, the reset all brings back the microphone for about a day, then there is no response of the mic and I resort to using AirPods. The latest software available for my model is 15.7.5 and of course I'm on that version. I've tested the mic with the memo app as well and it only works for a while as well after the reset.
