Is syncing your iPhone calendar and contacts with the Outlook program for Windows 10 (like Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013, not Outlook 365) still working with the standalone iTunes version 12.12.8.2 (not the MS Store version)? I have some iOS 15 and iOS 16 devices.
I know how to set up my phone and iTunes for syncing with Outlook, I just want to know if the syncing function is still working.
It still works with 12.13.1.3. Although since I got a new iPhone 15 it never syncs on first try, stalls at "preparing to sync." Only way I can get it to work is to unplug data cable from phone, iTunes then says "cancelling sync." When that goes away, plug back in, and it will finish sync all the way through. Anyone have a solution for me on that front? Thanks.
I don't use the feature personally, but I've seen reports here saying that local syncing of Outlook data is still possible with the latest build of iTunes for Windows.

The support article Sync app info from your PC to devices with iTunes explains how to sync information from your Windows apps like Windows address book or Outlook Express to a device via iTunes.
Please note that content that is synced will only be updated to reflect changes at the next sync session. If you need more current information on your devices, iCloud for Windows would allow you access to those computer items via iCloud on compatible devices, and changes would be reflected immediately via internet connection. See Download iCloud for Windows for more on that option.

It might be helpful for you to speak directly with Apple about syncing iTunes with Outlook 2010 or 2013.
They'll be in the best position to investigate this further. Click the link below, choose the phone number for your region (or the closest one to it) from the list, and call when it is convenient.

Thank you for your reply. I do know how syncing works as I have been using it for years. I also know Apple has been saying for quite some time now that at some point iTunes will no longer be able to sync with the standalone Outlook program.
Last I saw iTunes 12.12.7.1 was still syncing with Outlook. My question was if the newer 12.12.8.2 was still syncing with the standalone Outlook program, like Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013. Personally for me, syncing with iCloud is not an option.
Did you ever find out? Amazing how your question was not answered as if not read. Actually, not so amazing :)
I'm on 12.11.3.17 and working as desired. Would love to update to the very latest, but only if I do not lose that capability.
