My Final Cut Pro library is damaged and event cannot be read

I searched for some solutions and found that I can use backup or delete the current version of the flexolibrary.

I wasn't able to do a recent backup on my external hard drive, so when I search for backups nothing appeared.

When I delete the libraries, it says that the event could not be repaired or rebuilt.

Are there any more solutions? I literally spent a year on the project. Panicking!

Thank you! Unfortunately, I could not find any backups in it. Are there any more solutions?

Are you sure? These are supposed to occur automatically, as you work on your libraries, once every 15 or 20 minutes. Please recheck. Unless you specified a different location (which seems very unlikely), it should be similar to this example:

So, to reiterate: you can press Command-Shift-H to open your home folder; open the Movies folder inside it, then open "Final Cut Backups" inside that; one folder there should have the same name as your library (that would be "Batata" in the example); each file with a timestamp like 202304...GMT+1 is a backup made at that time.

Are you positively absolutely sure that they are not there?

You can do a Finder search if they are not in that location, but I have to say I still think they are...

Final Cut Pro automatically makes backups of your library as you work. That may save you.

By default, they are in a folder named after your library, inside ~/Movies/Final Cut Backups. Esch backup name is a timestamp.

(the tilde refers to your home folder)

Go there, and copy one of recent versions out from this folder, and rename it. Choose something representative, so there is no confusion as to which is which.

Double-click to open it. If all is well, you should see all your events, projects and clips, except that the actual media may be offline (eg it may show a red (“missing clip”) everywhere. Don’t worry, it is a good thing. Let us know, and we can guide you through the next few steps.
