iPhone Social Profiles Not Working - Contact Card

Is there a known issue with adding social profiles on a contact card? Tried multiple ways to add our social profiles to our businesses contact card - the handle, the entire URL, deleted the contact and set it up again, etc.

Only one that links is FB's. IG, LI, custom ones, etc. do not link/work. And sometimes https:// just appears even after saving the full URL.

What am I missing here? Any help/tips would be appreciated.

We'd like to help by learning more about what's happening, along with ruling out some possible causes:

What exactly occurs when you do select the option for 'Add Custom Service' when adding a social profile to a contact card, then follow the prompts? The more details you provide, the better we'll be able to understand the issue.
Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
We see you have iOS 15 installed on your iPhone, but the latest for your model is iOS 16.4.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.

iPhone 12 with updated software.

I’m also having the same issue.

I’ve tried adding links for IG and FB in every way possible followed with a hard restart and nothing worked.

I did try to add one of the IG profiles as a Twitter just to see what happens and it did try to open it but it’s obviously not a Twitter account.

I’ve never had this issue before with previous software updates.

Very good - I appreciate the help. Please view this screencast which will help you understand the problem.

It shows how the FB and LI links come up, but the other links do not. Nothing happens when you click them, except the contact card resets/flutters which is odd.

In summary, I'm able to add the links to the contact card, but some don't open up. I had a friend try it too by sending them the contact card, and they experienced the same issue.

I already tried turning my phone one and off, and sure, I'll update my software.

I’m afraid not - I spoke with someone at Apple Support. Though she tried to be helpful - she was clueless. I set up a contact card for my boss at the time - though it’s not perfect - he’s happy with it as is. So dropped it at that point. It seems so basic though that the functionality would work. - Kim
