Hi!
You can calibrate your Apple Watch to improve the accuracy of distance, step, and calorie measurements. The calibration allows the watch to know the level of your fitness and your pace, and thus to improve the accuracy in case of GPS is absent or limited.
To calibrate your Apple Watch, plug it in and go outside, in a flat area that offers good GPS reception and is interference-free. Open the Training app, then tap Outdoor Walking or Outdoor Running. Walk or run normally for about 20 minutes. If you train at different speeds, you should also do a 20-minute calibration for each of the speeds you walk or run.
Every time you follow the steps above and walk or run in the fresh air, your Apple Watch continues to calibrate the accelerometer by learning your stride length at different speeds.
I hope I helped you!
