Missing the “Add People” Menu Item in iPhone File Sharing

I can’t share files on iCloud Drive right now and I’m trying to figure out why. The Apple Support User Guide says when you select the file or folder to share, then tap the Share icon in the lower left corner of the screen, a context menu comes up with an Add People menu item on it.

  1. I don’t have the Add People menu item. Does anyone?
  2. if you can see Add People, any idea why it’s missing on my iPhone 13 (iOS 16.4.1)?

The "Add People" menu item may be missing from the File Sharing menu on your iPhone due to several reasons, such as a bug or a problem with your iCloud account. Here are some possible solutions you can try:

  1. Check your iCloud account: Make sure you are signed in to your iCloud account and that your account is working properly. You can try logging out and back in to your iCloud account to refresh the settings.
  2. Update your iOS version: Ensure that your iPhone is running the latest iOS version available. To check for updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
  3. Restart your iPhone: Restarting your iPhone may help resolve any minor glitches or issues that may be causing the problem.
  4. Use a different device: Try accessing the File Sharing menu from a different device, such as a computer or another iPhone, to see if the issue is device-specific.

If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact Apple Support for further assistance.
