Hi,
If you have a single track sound effect, and want to prevent the pop from occurring when the sound is initially played - what is the recommended fade-In length?
Obviously the shorter the better, but I cannot seem to find any info regarding the minimum length required to prevent the initial pops / clicks.

You won't find any minimum required length as the length of a fade in is totally dependent on the sound you've made...... meaning..... they are all completely different.
Just adjust it until you are happy with it and it's sounding exactly how you want it to sound.
Thanks octopi, what I was trying to ask is - is there a technical minimum length to stop the pop / click, when a sound initially starts.
I understand that fades can be as long or short as you desire, but I am not fading in the sound for aesthetic reasons, such as gradually fading a song in, - I simply want to prevent the sudden pop when the sound initially starts.
I can't really do this by ear, as the pop is so sudden and short in duration.
Hopefully that made more sense.
