Are my airpods fake

Hello

I recently purchased some AirPods 3rd Generation. They didn't come in an original box but they looked genuine but on closer inspection they did not have any serial numbers on either the box or the AirPods themselves. I look up the serial numbers my iPhone gave me for them when I connected them and they seemed to have been bought in December 2021 and their coverage had expired. But the box serial number showed up to be an AirPod Pro case.

Please can someone help!!!

It sounds like you may have been scammed. Your AirPods seem to be Not New, and I would guess the seller has upgraded to AirPods Pro then used the new box to sell their old 3rd Gen AirPods. Whether you decide to try and return for refund, or (if the AirPods work properly and can be charged) keep the AirPods is your decision.

Hopefully you purchased from a source like eBay which has some buyer protection in place if you decide to reject. I guess the hard lesson is to buy only from known reputable sources like the Apple Store or approved resellers.
