How do I get rid of the wide black band at the bottom of my iPad that showed up after it fell (was in a secure case)?

If your iPad shows a a dark band, lines, or other screen issues subsequent to being dropped - it has most likely suffered internal damage that will require repair.


You would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to assess your iPad. If repair is required, as is very likely, you’ll be in the best possible place to explore your available options:
