Remove your email account and set it up again

Make sure that all of your emails are there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than your device. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. Tap the email account that you want to remove. Tap Delete Account.

If you have a Virgin Media account they have change the way Apple product can sign onto your email account.

I have been using a email address on my Virginmedia email account for years. When I recently up-dated my phone to IOS17, I found I could not sign onto my email account on my phone or my Macbook Pro,I was informed that my password was not correct. After lots of long phone calls to Virgin Media and Apple Support, I spoke tp a chap at Virgin Media who informed me that the password email could no longer be chosen by the user but now was generated by the ISP and consists of a 19 digit code for the password. This password is only for your email account. You can still access your Virginmedia account using the password you thought was for your email account. I have looked at the Virgin Media Web Site and cannot find any reference for the chnage for email passwords.

Why have my emails suddenly stopped coming onto my IPhone?
