Can't sync iPod classic A1238 with MacBook Air running Ventura 13.3.1

How do I sync my Music app content with my iPod classic - no screen comes up when I click on it in Finder. No problem accessing the HD drive's other content. iPod shows 'Connected' and will disconnect OK.

My iPod Classic won't sync after installing Tahoe 26.0 For years, I have routinely synced my iPod Classic with Music on my iMac desktop. However, it appears that after installing Tahoe 26.0, the syncing process with my iPod Classic is no longer working; i.e., the "Sync Settings" button will NOT take me to the relevant screen to sync the device! QUESTION: ...Is anyone else experiencing this problem?...Is there anything that can be done about it?... [NOTE: I also have an iPod Touch, which I have been able to sync without any problem. And with respect to the iPod Classic, please note that I have already rebooted (i) the iPod Classic, (ii) the Music application, and (iii) my iMac computer, none of which helped! Also, the cable is clearly not an issue because (i) I have been able to sync my iPod Touch, and (ii) the Music application on my iMac is recognizing my iPod Classic device.] Thanks so much! (P.S. ...I am apprehensive about carrying out a full restore of my iPod Classic for fear of disabling the device entirely...But I can't even do that because I can't get beyond the "Sync Settings" button!...)

In Finder try Finder > Preferences > Sidebar > Show CDs, DVDs and iOS Devices. You may have two entries in the sidebar for the classic, one of which includes sync options.

Thanks turingtest2 for a quick reply. I've tried what you suggest, 'Show CDs, DVDs and iOS Devices' was checked, I unchecked and then re-checked it disconnected the iPod and re-connected it but no joy. All is as was.
