iOS 16.4.1 Touchscreen won’t allow proper selection.

Apple please fix TOUCHSCREEN which delays between letters when typing causing missing letters and typos to occur.

Touchscreen in iOS 16.4.1, is very iffy-won’t allow proper selection- has delays when typing words do that spaces show instead of letters, for example. Also, you may type a word but a letter pauses, so you type the letter again, then you see duplicate letters.

Apple, PLEASE FIX.

The long process of applying an iOS update to an old iPhone with a weak battery can be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back." 81% is weak and is to be expected in an iPhone X original battery. The weak battery is almost certainly the reason for the touchscreen problem. Have the battery replaced and all will be well:

81%, but this touch problem only started with iOS 16.4.1

no i cannot afford a new battery

o i cannot afford a new phone

here is a perfect example above…it skips letters like it did when i typed the “n” above.

it is as if the area of touch sensitivity in the keyboard, is not right.

it is also difficult to select type. It hesitates and never wants to select a like or paragraph or in between letters.

thank you

Your suggestion was less than helpful. We’re not able to type properly because of the keyboard issues and instead of trying to troubleshoot this, your solution to roll back the update and for that they would need a new battery, which the user has already clearly explained they don’t want to go that route. Rolling back is a workaround. It’s not a resolution. What’s being done towards the resolution? I believe this is a known issue at this point right?
