iMessage audio messages

Hello,

I’ve changed the settings for my audio messages to “never” expire long time ago as you can see.

And lately I went through my couple of days old audios or my friends that was sent to me looks like the picture below, and I can’t listen to it, until I click save! The thing is when I click on save the app crashes and I open the app again and the audio is there, and when I close the app and open it again the audio is gone AGAIN! How to fix this?

I tried the "pasting and sending it back to the sender" trick i saw, but that didn't work. I've tried turning phone on and off, toggling imessage off and on, and then rebooting again. I've tried turning wifi on and off after these steps as well and no luck. this is happening in a group chat mixed with iphone and android users. the android user was able to listen to the audio message. Also, i can hear audio messages from android users. I haven't yet received a direct 1:1 audio message from another iphone user, so I'm not sure about that. Any help is appreciated. thanks

Apple iMessage Apps not working I have had a recurring issue on my iMessage, where the app features (above the keyboard) do not function when I tap on them. They usually then have the grey outline acknowledging that I have selected the app, however nothin else happens. This happens with things like Memojis or #images but curiously doesn't happen with Photos, App Store, or Digital Touch. Resetting the phone and all the common fixes do not seem to work. Recently I bought a new phone and was able to update to the latest iOS. Now that the audio messages are part of the iMessage apps, I am completely unable to send audio messages on the platform. I have looked for possible solutions online but I haven't been able to find any. Similar threads have no solutions either. Does anybody have a fix? at all?

Prevent recipients from saving audio messages How do you prevent the recipient from saving an audio message? I know they can be set to expire after 2 minutes but those can still be saved within those 2 minutes. Is there a way to prevent the recipient from being able to save an audio message?
