Sounds like your carrier needs to provide you with a new SIM card. Hopefully, the phone is not locked to the Japanese carrier. If it is, you'll have to contact the Japanese carrier to get them to release the lock on the phone before the new SIM card will work.

Contact your carrier if reset does not work. You may need a PUK code and only they can provide it.
Tried that didn’t work. I hade a japanese phone number with the sim and i think that us the problem. Also have to connect to home wifi every time when leaving the house
That profile is usually loaded by a carrier app.
