Ipod Touch Stuck Out of DFU Mode

I found my mom's old iPod Touch, and I decided to use it. It said "Connect to iTunes", so I did. It popped up, and I pressed "restore". It started going, and then a message popped up saying "This iPod is not in DFU mode. Please put in DFU mode to restore." I did some research, and tried to do it by holding the power button and home button, but that didn't work. As when I turn it on, all it says is "Connect to iTunes", there is no way for me to do it in settings. Please help.

That the same thing with this iPod touch my principal gave he didn’t need it so I took it home and said “I want to live the classic iOS days so when it booted into recovery mode I practically knew what exactly to do did mode entry but when I got a connector for it it restarted It did this every time I tried to restore it and I just hope the next iTunes version doesn’t matter when the iPod was in did mode or not and I would just restore it would be much easier for us all
