Unable to transfer Apple Cash to Apple Savings Account

Seems I was able to get around this by going to Apple Cash on my iPhone and initiated a bank transfer and then inputting the routing and account number of my Apple Savings account (click three dots and "Account Details" under the Savings account). Not sure why my friend had the option to do it during account setup and I didn't.

You cannot transfer directly. But you can send your cash to your bank and then transfer from your bank to savings

Seems a little crazy and goes against the article on this site.

I wasn't asked either. Just thought it might be because I have less than $1 in Apple Cash and $1 is the minimum transfer.

I have this issue as well. My friend sitting next to me was able to transfer his Apple Cash directly to Apple Savings but I was not given the option during setup and can not seem to do it now.

Ah, this was the answer I needed. oh well, figured it out another way but this would definitely be easier.

I must have already done this because I do not have that option.

I was able to do it in settings>wallet, NOT the wallet app. Which is pretty opaque.
