Here is Apple’s guidance on this subject→If your iPhonewon’t connect to a Wi-Fi network

If the problem happens with all Wi-Fi networks, go to Settings/General/Transfer or Reset Phone/Reset/Reset Network Settings. This will erase all Wi-Fi passwords, but won’t result in any data loss. The phone will restart when you do this.

If it only happens with your home network:

  • Restart your router by removing all power from it for 15-30 seconds (even if other devices using the router are working). If that doesn’t resolve the problem:
  • On your phone, Go to Settings/Wi-Fi, tap on the network and “forget” it. Then add it back.
  • Check for interference: Get very close to the router (~5 feet) and try to connect. If it connects something external is causing interference to your network→Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support

Just to be clear:

  • You restarted your router by removing all power from it for 15-30 seconds, even though it is working for hundreds of other devices.
  • You checked the status of MAC filtering in the router settings
  • You Reset Network Settings on your phone
  • You checked for local interference from things like cordless phones and other “smart” appliances.
