I can't find the correct free Whatsapp application for my new ipad mini 6. An app Messenger Duo is showing up which does not seem to be correct. Please help! Thanks,

The WhatApp developers have not released an App compatible with iPad - the App being currently limited to iPhone.
Whilst the App is not available for iPad - you should be able to access the service using a web browser:

The actual Whatsapp app is an iPhone ONLY app.
You should be able to download the iPhone version to your iPad, but you'll need to enlarge the apps screen using the iPad's 2X zoom button, within the iPhone app version.
