Current stable version is now Ventura 13.5.1

Just be sure to choose the correct version of the ICA file of Ventura
I guess you are not alone. I am struggling with a perfection 2450 Photo. I removed all past drivers (using utilities/system informations/ and then applications to find where they are installed, and removed the Epson folder in library) and then installed the latest driver from epson, added the scanner from the list in system preferences, but it doesn't work with Image Capture.
For the moment it seems to work using preview, but previously Preview crashes when trying to save. finger crossed

The Epson software is for using Epson software. You need an Image Capture Architecture (ICA) scanner driver to use Image Capture. If Epson doesn’t offer one for that scanner, you would need to use their scanner software.
