I dropped my phone in water and this pops up saying Face ID is disabled what do I do?

How can I fix the Face ID after dropping it in water

Nobody will repair a dunked device. Dunked devices can corrode over time, too.


Get a backup if you can (and don’t gave one), place the iPhone in a dry breeze for a few days, turned off and not charging, and maybe the iPhone starts working again, and maybe it doesn’t and you can’t use Face ID for a while or want or need to replace the iPhone.


If you have AppleCare+, you can usually get a replacement iPhone for a service fee.
