iMessage not getting activated after trying all options. Any advise

iMessage not getting activated after umpteen tries. Hv tried restart etc. any advise. Airtel

iPhone 12, iOS 16

There are few steps you can take care before calling carrier.


1> Update

your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


• If you have an iPhone 8 or higher, you

can update to 16.4.1


Go to Settings > General > Software

Update.

iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using WiFi -


Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support


This link will show you how to update using

your computer -


Update iOS on iPhone - Apple Support Update iOS on iPhone - Apple Support

Remove Any VPN app if you are using.

Check for VPN or any Parental App or Security App. Remove if you have any. Check In Settings>General > VPN and Device Management> VPN not COnnecteed > Remove if any


3> Turn off wifi, Turn off iMessage, and Facetime. Restart your phone. Settings> MEssages > Turn on messages using cellular data. Do the same for Facetime too.


Follow> If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support (CA)

4> Contact the carrier to see if your messaging service is active or not.
