Apple Pay Not Working But My Card Is Fine

Last night, I started having my apple pay decline transactions. I called my bank, they said no issue. Another declined apple pay and I called the bank again, no issue. Today I used my card as usual, no problem. Wells Fargo says they aren't blocking anything and that the card is fine. Nothing in support for this. What gives?


Also, this has been a textbook example horrible customer service. When I looked for support last night when all this started, Apple sent me to a chat help 3rd party service called "Just Answer." Absolute, garbage. Nothing these people did helped anything and while we were chatting, they charge my card 3 times for $46 dollars per charge. So, I got billed $138 for absolutely nothing. I finally got hold of the customer service manager for Just Answer and they say they are going to refund the "subscription charge." All three of them? Just one? I asked and they never answered. Guess I'll have to wait it out and see on my banking app. Unbelievably horrible.


Anyway, anyone know how to help with an apple pay glitch when your bank insists that the card is fine and it's clear they're telling the truth because it works everywhere EXCEPT apple pay.


ps My bank is Wells Fargo and they are absolutely on the list of apple pay participating banks. Seems obvious but I checked and they are.
