Hyperlinks in ipad

How can I remove hyperlinks in notes on the iPad. I have tried tapping the body text icon in format but to no avail. Hyperlink just returns. Very frustrating bb

Notes app - Creating links in iPad For the iPad - Every article in the internet, says tap the insertion point, then tap add link, or simply type ‘>>’. I have iOS 16.7.2 My issue is ‘add link’ does not come up. There is no add link. If I type >>, it just types the >>, it does not provide me an opportunity to create a link. The link I am referring to is let’s say I want a word in my note to serve as a link. I am not referring to copying and pasting Internet addresses. Thank you in advance.
