Wondering if anyone has been experiencing a buzzing sound with Airpods Max? I can hear it when nothing is playing and if I raise one headphone off my ear. Sounds like when youre on a plane just constant noise in the background. Wondering if this is normal or a glitch? I just got these yesterday so I want to make sure before I go to Apple.

No. This is NOT normal. So, take it back to Apple requesting a new AirPod pair. They'll have the ultimate say in the return.

Hi, I had this same problem and a common cause of this is you may be using your AirPods Max while they are charging. Apple doesn’t intend for users to use them while they are charging, which may be an explanation for the buzzing sound. If not, I would send it back to Apple. and yes i know i’m sending this a year later.
Mine does it sometimes if I lay it on my desk. Had to shut it off to stop it. Restarted it and it is working. Happened 5 or 6 times in the past couple months
