ApplePay Later- Buy Something for Less Than…

What happens if I get approved for a (for example) $1,000 loan, but choose to buy something for less than that amount?

I have the $1,000 loan, but use that “Card” to pay for a $25 meal…

Do I have the option to continue to use that “Card”/loan until I reach its limit, then start to pay it off?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

Welp, I Completely missed this in the Launch Article….

“You can use your Apple Pay Later Available to Spend amount to make a purchase up to 30 days after you're approved.6

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, choose Apple Pay at checkout.
  2. Tap the Pay Later tab, then tap Continue.
  3. Review your payment plan information and loan agreement details before completing your purchase.
  4. Double-click the side button to confirm payment with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.

Apple Pay Later loans can only be used once. If you spend less than the total amount you were pre-approved for, the remaining funds can’t be used for a different purchase.”

It’s also interesting that only after my second purchase, did a second color of “flakes” appear on the “card” in Apple Wallet.

My first purchase showed 4 orange “flakes” (representing 4 remaining payments—now 2 “flakes” remain). Then after my second purchase, 4 new green “flakes” appeared!

I mention this because the Apple Pay Later “Card” that Apple shows on the website has about 4 different colors of “flakes” on it!
