Iphone 8 plus battery draining fast for few months. I have had battery replaced, I have updated to latest IOS, followed all the tips for preserving battery from other threads, and the phone still can't even last a night while I'm asleep, not in use with all apps closed.
Why are Iphone 8's now having battery issues?

Make an appointment at the Apple Store or visit an authorized Apple Service shop to let them hook up the diagnostic equipment and see what they can find.
As far as iPhone 8. I cannot find anything on a forum search about a battery issue with iPhone 8. That doesn't mean that you are not having a problem, but if there were a general problem, the forum would be flooded with posts about the issue, and it's not.

And why are you not connecting the phone to the adapter and leaving it connected all night....every night?

This is more like a similar question that l answered about " why iphone 14ns have a better battery capacity yet they drain fast . The issue is , if you update your iOS , that means you are now using the advanced versions of your applications . This advance drain more power due to increased number of functions by the apps . Therefore, if you are using a battery of low capacity like of iphone 8 , it wont last long compared to i0S 14 .
Tip :1 )KEEP AIR DROP AND BLUETOOTH OFF.

3) USE OLDER VERSION OF IOS
4) IF YOU WANT RECENT APPS , UPGRADE YOUR PHONE .

Why are you not leaving the phone connected to the power adapter all night.....every night? That is the single best thing that you can do to preserve battery life.
The battery was replaced, and the draining issue remained the same. To be sure, the technician then replaced the battery a second time with a brand new battery that was new stock to confirm it wasn't a new battery issue.
The battery health on the old battery was in the 80's, but was draining at the same speed as the brand new battery.

However, this doesn't explain why it was draining fast all of a sudden even before updating IOS, with notifications switched off, location services off etc. I also don't have email app on my iphone.
Also the battery doesn't last a night when the phone has all apps closed and is in standby.
Hi Bob, I usually do, but when I have forgotten to I notice that it can't even last the night when it would have started at 60-80% charged.
It has optimized battery charging turned on, I've tried running it in low battery mode, I have background refresh turned off etc.
It easily loses 10% in an hour when it's doing nothing.
I’ve an IPhone 8 and a month ago I had the battery replaced in the Apple Store. They said that the battery should last up to 3 years. Good I thought. But recently the phone has started to drain down again so quickly. I do have email on it but not many apps. I’ve tried the low battery but that doesn’t help. I am not technical minded at all. Do I go back to Apple? Any help appreciated.
