iPhone 13 battery is bulged. Am I eligible for refund or new phone

I had purchased iPhone 13 ,6 months back, recently, i saw battery was bulged and screen was pushing out. i gave to apple center as it was under limited warranty. they kept it for 10 days and then they told me they don't have battery. i complained to customer and they are also doing the same thing. they just call once a week and tell me to wait more?

I want to know if i don't want my phone any longer then am i eligible for refund. i am frustrated with the customer care response.

When you say you gave it to “apple center” what did you mean? An Apple Store or authorized Apple service provider would most certainly have batteries in stock. If you gave to a third party repair center claiming to represent Apple then you have a big problem.

For a swollen battery it’s unlikely that they’d do just a battery replacement. Other Apple devices might be OK with a slightly swollen battery if just the battery is replaced, but with an iPhone that typically means the screen assembly and case are pushed out.

If it’s as if you stated, that is an issue covered by warranty, and the proper response would be to offer a full replacement device. Once a battery swells noticeably, the chassis will almost certainly be damaged. My guess is that they’re not waiting on a new battery but on the availability of a replacement unit. That has to match all the details of the device it replaces including model, color, and capacity.
